Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad Partners with Guardian Rail
Guardian Rail’s mechanical services will enhance safety efforts and improve customer support
COLUMBUS, OHIO – June 24, 2024 — The Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad (CORP) has partnered with Guardian Rail (Guardian) for handling of its railcar inspection and repair needs across its 362-mile footprint. Guardian provides these services across CORP’s major yards in Roseburg, Cottage Grove, and Medford, Oregon.
Guardian commenced operations in May 2024 as the sponsored repair agent for CORP with a team comprised of eight (8) carmen as well as a location supervisor.
John Bullion, General Manager of CORP, says that the reason they chose to bring the Guardian team on board was to enhance the quality of railcars available for our customers. “The Guardian team ensures the rail equipment operating on the CORP is safe and reliable for the customers, crews, and communities that we operate in and prevents undue delays of shipments,” said Bullion.
