Guardian Rail, founded in 2016, has grown to be a leading freight rail services and transportation company. We operate one of the nation’s largest railcar services networks, which includes 10 railcar repair facilities, more than 40 running repair locations across more than 20 states. and a rail services division that operates our short line railroads and a dozen switching/transloading sites. We also offer railcar storage, track maintenance, MRU services and railcar parts.

In June of 2025, Tikehau Star Infra, who has been a values investor in the organization since 2020, acquired a controlling stake in Guardian Rail alongside Nuveen. Current management owns 100% of the Company.
