Guardian Rail, founded in 2016, has grown to be a leading freight rail services and transportation company. We operate one of the nation’s largest railcar services networks, which encompasses 75 facilities across 26 states including a nationwide field services operation, 11 repair facilities and a rail services division that operates our short line railroads and a dozen switching/transloading sites. We also offer railcar storage, track maintenance and railcar parts.

In June 2025 Tikehau Star Infra, who has been an investor in the organization since 2020, acquired a controlling stake in Guardian Railalongside Nuveen and current management owns 100% of the Company.
